About Us
The Santa Fe Cat Café opened its doors on February 6, 2024, as the city’s first cat café and one of only two in New Mexico. Founded by father–daughter duo Carrie Reyes and Barry Bruner (both lifelong animal lovers) the café was created as a cozy gathering place where the community could enjoy coffee, tea, and baked goods while meeting adoptable cats from local rescue Felines & Friends.
Following the beloved model of cat cafés first popularized in Asia and now found across the U.S., the space is divided between a service area and a welcoming cat lounge, where guests can spend time with friendly, socialized cats waiting for their forever homes. Thanks to the passion of its founders, the café quickly became a local favorite—blending hospitality, rescue work, and community spirit under one roof.
In August 2024, when Carrie and her family relocated, Ashley and Conor Maguire purchased the café to carry forward its mission of connecting people and cats.
Located in Santa Fe’s Baca Railyard, the Santa Fe Cat Café continues to offer a friendly, welcoming space where guests can relax with a cup of coffee and the company of cats.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
